My Experience: Junior Olympics

Out of Approx. 180 Swim South Bay Swimmers 10 (including me) went to the Junior Olympics. The Junior Olympics are just qualifying trials for the championships which the best-of-the-best attend. And its just a regular meet, with a lot of people from out of town and other WAY fast people. You go to the Junior Olympics as if it was a regular meet; wake at the crack of dawn, get in the car, get checked in, warm up, but ins ted of waiting 30 minutes for your event you wait an hour to three hours. After your short event you wait three hours to two days for your next event. Its tough to qualify now, but when I move up this month it gets a lot tougher. With hard work and dedication you too can be a Junior Olympian and or Olympian.
